Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Refrigeration/Electrical Engineer to join our field service team supporting retail sites across the UK. The role involves maintaining and repairing refrigeration cold\-rooms, refrigeration cabinets, refrigeration systems and carrying out electrical maintenance in high\-demand retail environments such as supermarkets, convenience stores, and others.

This is a mobile role requiring travel between sites, with a focus on minimising downtime and ensuring systems remain compliant, efficient, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, diagnosing, fault finding, service, and repair of refrigeration cold\-rooms, refrigeration cabinets and refrigeration systems including multi\-deck chillers, cold rooms, display cabinets, and integral freezer units commonly used in retail environments and electrical issues.


• Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures and legislative in all tasks undertaken.


• Deliver high quality maintenance, installation and service work to keep up with our high standard of works and keep our customer satisfaction


• Represent Coldtech in a professional and competent manner and develop a good working relationship with customers and colleagues.


• Comply with any reasonable request from management.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration \& Air Conditioning or Electrical Installation.


• F\-Gas Cat 1 (City \& Guilds 2079 or equivalent).


• City \& Guilds 18th Edition (BS 7671\).


• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in refrigeration/electrical roles, ideally within a retail or commercial environment.


• Strong fault\-finding and diagnostics skills across refrigeration and electrical systems.


• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.


• CSCS card if possible but not essential, will consider if you don’t have an CSCS card.

• Experience multi disciplined working with large supermarket refrigeration cold\-rooms, refrigeration cabinets and systems experience.

Pay: £16\.00\-£16\.50 per hour
