Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Record to Report (R2R) Manager to join our Finance Operations Centre in Birchwood. In this key leadership role, you’ll take ownership of the R2R function across a complex, multi\-entity environment—driving accuracy, control, and continuous improvement while shaping a high\-performing team.
This is more than just a reporting role. You’ll play a central part in building and evolving a modern finance function, partnering with senior stakeholders and helping to set the standard for excellence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading end\-to\-end month\-end, quarter\-end, and year\-end close processes
- Ensuring balance sheet integrity and strong financial control
- Overseeing complex accounting areas and providing technical guidance (IFRS/UK GAAP)
- Managing intercompany, reporting, and statutory accounts
- Acting as a key contact for audit and senior finance stakeholders
- Coaching and developing a high\-performing R2R team
- Driving process improvement, standardisation, and automation initiatives
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), QBE considered.
- Significant experience in Record‑to‑Report, Financial Accounting or Controllership roles within an industry or shared services environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience working in a multi\-entity or group accounting environment
- Demonstrated ownership of month\-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience reviewing work and supervising junior finance colleagues
- Previous experience of working with SAP, S4 HANA preferable
