Quantity Surveyor / Aspiring Project ManagerData Centre M\&E Coordination \& Commissioning – Sweden
At Broma Engineering, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who wants to progress into Project Management to join a team working on a major data centre project in Sweden.
This role would suit someone with a strong commercial or construction background who wants to broaden their experience beyond traditional quantity surveying and become involved in the coordination, delivery and commissioning of complex Mechanical \& Electrical packages.
You will work alongside experienced project, commercial and engineering personnel and gain hands\-on exposure to the delivery of a technically demanding international data centre project.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the management of M\&E packages from a commercial and project delivery perspective, helping to ensure works are properly planned, coordinated, documented and delivered in line with programme requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the commercial management of Mechanical \& Electrical subcontract packages.
- Assisting with procurement, tender analysis, subcontractor appointments and cost control.
- Tracking package budgets, variations, change orders and commercial exposure.
- Working closely with M\&E contractors, consultants, project managers and commissioning teams.
- Monitoring subcontractor progress against agreed programmes and deliverables.
- Supporting the coordination of Mechanical, Electrical and associated specialist systems.
- Attending coordination, progress and commissioning meetings.
- Assisting with the management and close\-out of RFIs, technical queries, variations and outstanding works.
- Helping ensure commissioning documentation, testing records, certification and handover information are completed correctly.
- Monitoring key project milestones and identifying potential programme or commercial risks.
- Assisting with reporting to senior project management.
- Developing an understanding of the complete project lifecycle from procurement through installation, commissioning and final handover.
- Gradually assuming greater responsibility for project and package management as your experience develops.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are commercially strong but want to develop into broader project management roles.
You may currently be working as a:
- Quantity Surveyor
- Assistant Quantity Surveyor
- Project Quantity Surveyor
- M\&E Quantity Surveyor
- Commercial Engineer
- Assistant Project Manager
- A Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related qualification.
- Experience working on construction, M\&E, pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial or data centre projects.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of subcontract management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work with multiple contractors and disciplines simultaneously.
- An interest in Mechanical \& Electrical systems and how they integrate within major construction projects.
- A desire to move toward Project Management, Package Management or Construction Management.
- A practical, proactive approach to resolving problems.
- The confidence to work in a fast\-moving international project environment.

Location

The role will be project\-based in Sweden. The exact working arrangement, rotation, accommodation, travel and package will be discussed with suitable candidates.
Package
A strong remuneration package will be offered based on experience, together with appropriate support for working on an international project.
