As a Quantity Surveyor at Markey Construction, you will play a key role in the successful delivery in a diverse project portfolio. Working closely with experienced project teams, you'll play a vital role in maximising value, managing risk and driving commercial performance.

What you will bring to Markey Construction:
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who combines strong commercial awareness and with a proactive solutions\-based approach, to help manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be confident in cost management and identify opportunities to maximise value throughout each project.
Ideally you will have:
- Proven experience of working in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
- Experience using cost\-estimating software and commercial management tools (e.g. Causeway).
- A strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and cost management.
- A comprehensive understanding of construction drawings across a variety of sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost control, and value engineering exercises.
- Manage procurement activities, including tender preparation, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract award.
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and programme requirements.
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
- Provide commercial and cost management advice to clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations industry standards and company procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and project outcomes.

Full time, Monday to Friday.
40 hours per week between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
