About The Role

Due to continued growth, FiveNines Global are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of international projects from contract award through to final account. You must have the Right to work in Europe and willingness to be based on site and move between international projects as required.

Some of your daily activities

• Review project and contract documents, including scopes of work, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and programmes, to understand commercial obligations and identify gaps, risks and opportunities


• Assess the commercial and programme impact of client design changes and instructed works, and prepare Variations and Change Orders


• Manage the client Change Account and Change Schedule, including leading or supporting regular commercial meetings to progress agreement of change


• Assess programme impacts and support the valuation and substantiation of Extension of Time claims.


• Measure progress in the period and prepare and submit monthly Applications for Payment to the client


• Manage subcontractor accounts, including preparation of subcontract documentation for review, assessment of subcontractor change, valuation of payment applications and preparation of payment certificates.


• Track planned versus actual cost and provide clear commercial updates to the project team.


• Identify project risks and opportunities and support actions to mitigate risk or maximise value.


• Maintain complete and accurate commercial records in accordance with Company procedures, governance requirements and project controls.

• Practical experience of change control, client applications, subcontractor account management, cost forecasting and CVR reporting.


• Advanced Microsoft Office capability, particularly Excel, with confidence using commercial and reporting systems.


• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a relevant construction\-related field.


• Approximately 3\-5 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably with a civils contractor or subcontractor.


• Working knowledge of construction methodologies and the ability to interpret scopes, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and programmes.


• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts; exposure to JCT and NEC forms is advantageous.


• Build strong, professional relationships with client and subcontractor commercial teams and work collaboratively with construction, design, finance and project delivery colleagues.


• Excellent organisational and communication skills, including the confidence to negotiate, debate, present and explain commercial matters clearly.
