Pay : £13\.33 per hour

We are seeking to recruit a Quality Technician at our busy site at Glenfield, Cowdenbeath. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference, maintain product quality, drive high standards, and work as part of a supportive team in a fast\-paced environment.

The role is full time, working a 4\-day week as part of a rotational shift pattern. This includes dayshift (0600–1430\), backshift (1400–2230\), and weekend night shifts (12 hours) as required within the rota. The working pattern is designed to support operational requirements while maintaining a structured and balanced schedule.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician role is a key position within the technical team. The successful candidate will be required to provide day\-to\-day technical support, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a wider team. The role requires the ability to use initiative, think logically, and maintain a high level of attention to detail while supporting food safety, quality, and compliance standards across the site.

The role involves, but is not limited to:

· Testing of samples for chemistry, quality, and organoleptic properties in onsite lab; reporting any out of specification results at time of testing.

· Conduct swabbing (environmental/food contact) and collect production samples for external analysis as per routine schedule.

· Conduct visual inspections and ATP swabbing post\-hygiene on all food contact equipment prior to release for production.

· Carrying out GMP and Glass \& Hard Plastic Audits.

· Completion of daily tasks to a high standard.

This is a critical role in the technical team, full training will be provided however the role requires a conscientious, hardworking individual, with a high level of attention to detail.

Preferably the successful candidate will have HACCP and Food Safety awareness. Experience in a technical role or a food handling role is advantageous but not necessary as full training will be given.
