Quality Manager

Purpose
To lead and continuously improve quality performance across Ballymaloe Foods, ensuring that food products consistently meet customer, legal and company standards while driving a culture of accountability, problem solving and continuous improvement.

Quality Leadership
- Lead the Quality function across the business.
- Develop quality strategy and annual objectives.
- Build quality ownership throughout all departments.
- Coach and develop quality team members.
- Own the CAPA process.
- Lead investigations into product, process and customer issues.
- Ensure robust root cause analysis methodologies are applied.
- Track effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Monitor and report quality KPIs.
- Drive reduction of:
- Customer complaints
- Internal non\-conformances
- Rework
- Waste
- Rejects
- Manage internal audits.
- Ensure actions are completed and verified.
- Identify systemic improvement opportunities.
- Lead quality improvement projects.
- Work with Production, Maintenance and Supply Chain to improve standards.
- Promote problem\-solving and prevention rather than detection.
- Complaint reduction.
- Reject reduction.
- CAPA closure performance.
- Audit findings.
- Reduction in repeat non\-conformances.
- Quality culture improvements
- Degree or qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3\+ years' experience in a food manufacturing quality role, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems and quality standards.
- Experience managing CAPAs, root cause investigations and non\-conformances.
- Experience leading internal and external audits.
- Strong communication, coaching and problem\-solving skills.
- Experience in a BRCGS\-certified food manufacturing environment.
- Lead Auditor qualification.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience managing retailer or customer audits.
- Passionate about food quality and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving mindset.
- A natural leader who leads by example, brings people with them and helps create a culture of quality throughout the business.
- Able to influence and build relationships across departments.
- Organised, resilient and comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment.
