Strickland MFG is seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented Quality Engineer to join our growing Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in ensuring our products and manufacturing processes consistently meet customer expectations and industry standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems, investigating quality issues, analysing production data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Working closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers, you will help ensure the highest levels of product quality and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems and Standards

*Develop, maintain and improve quality processes and procedures in line with company and industry requirements.*

*Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).*

*Maintain quality documentation, audit records and product traceability information.*

*Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and customer\-specific quality requirements.*

Inspection and Quality Assurance

C*arry out inspections and testing of raw materials, components and finished products.*

*Record and analyse inspection results, identifying trends, recurring defects and process variations.*

*Monitor product quality and process performance to ensure consistent standards are achieved.*

*Use data\-driven analysis to support quality improvements and informed decision\-making.*

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement

*Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.*

*Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.*

*Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, product quality and operational efficiency.*

*Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Kaizen activities.*

Auditing and Compliance

*Support internal and external audits and ensure all quality requirements are maintained.*

*Promote compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory standards.*

Stakeholder Engagement

*Provide quality\-related guidance and training to colleagues across the business.*

*Work closely with suppliers and customers to investigate and resolve quality concerns.*

*Build positive working relationships to support ongoing quality and performance improvements.*

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance position within a manufacturing environment and be confident working with quality systems and problem\-solving methodologies.

You will possess excellent analytical skills, a methodical approach to work and a strong attention to detail. The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers is essential.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing.

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards.

  • Experience using quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, PPAP, SPC and 8D.

  • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.

  • Experience analysing quality and production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline.

  • Experience using statistical analysis software such as Minitab.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies.
