Quality Engineer

Maycast\-Nokes is proud of its position as one of the most comprehensive single\-site suppliers of non\-ferrous castings in the UK. Operating from Halstead (North Essex) the company is equipped to produce machined investment castings, precision sand castings and gravity die castings of the highest standards.

The opportunity exists for a candidate to join our Quality management team.

Ideal Requirements:

· Proven background in Quality Assurance

· Knowledge and awareness of quality procedures

· Awareness of AS9100 or ISO 9001

· Good knowledge of Quality tools and 8D methodology

· Internal Auditor qualified or willing to undertake training

· Be able to produce accurate documentation

· Be organised and motivated

· Be capable of working as part of a team

· Strong inter\-personal skills and ability to work at all levels of the organisation

· Awareness of manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing principles

· Clear understanding and interpretation of Engineering drawings

· Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint

· Foundry or Engineering background would be an advantage but not essential

Objectives \& Measurement:

· Working to assure the quality of product fulfils project requirements

· Monitoring quality of internally and externally manufactured components

· Internal and customer 8D compilation

· Customer visits to review quality performance

· Working with suppliers on quality issues to prevent reoccurrence and to help drive down supplier PPM

· Gathering and analysing key production quality data and acting on trends

· Maintenance of the Scorecards and associated monitoring systems

· Actively partake in any NPI or Process FMEA activities relating to Quality Assurance

· Customer\-focused.

Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience
