Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail\-oriented Quality \& Compliance Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation’s quality assurance and compliance programmes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of product safety, quality, and regulatory adherence. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in quality management systems and a passion for continuous improvement to contribute significantly to our company's success.

This role is responsible for all aspects of audit and compliance for the organisation, ensure that they maintain the ISO9001 2015 and ISO14001 Accreditation. Working with all departments to ensure that quality systems are introduced maintained and developed, continually improving the way the business is working and ensuring processes and procedures reflect this.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance across all departments.

  • Analyse quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.

  • Lead investigations into product or process non\-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.

  • Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to establish quality benchmarks and ensure adherence throughout the supply chain.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to quality assurance activities and compliance records.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards, HACCP principles, and regulatory updates.

  • Monitor changes in legislation or industry standards that could impact company operations, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include (but are not restricted to);

  • To plan and carry out ISO9001 2015 Audits and ISO14001\.

  • Understanding of Eco Vardis and ability to support the annual submission.

  • Manage all quality compliance activities.

  • Responsible for risk assessment, audit review, monitoring and managing quality compliance within the organisation.

  • Continually check the accuracy of the quality system.

  • Chair quarterly quality meetings.

  • Maintain accurate quality and compliance records.

  • Carry out internal audits on agreed timescales.

  • Liaising with department heads on action points resulting from internal audits.

  • Collaborate with management team to ensure that the entire company is aware of compliance requirements and issues.

  • Develop internal controls and policies designed to ensure that all compliance requirements are met.

  • Work closely with department managers to review all department policies for compliance issues.

  • Deal with non\-conformances in a timely manner.

  • Liaise with external auditors.

  • Liaise with external customers/suppliers.
Skills

· Knowledge and experience of managing quality and compliance within an organisation.

· Understanding of quality audits with experience of carrying out quality audits.

· Ability to feedback and implement changes to processes and procedures to meet quality audit results.

· Excellent time management skills.

· Understanding of SAGE and SIA is beneficial.

· Proven competence in Regulatory and Legal requirements.

· Excellent organisational skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Leadership ability with excellent team working skills

· Educated to degree level and ideally with a qualification in quality and compliance.

· High level of commercial awareness.

· Display a high level of professional behaviour at all times.

· Advanced knowledge of computer database and of Office 365\.

· Strong understanding of current legislation on all aspects of compliance and audits.

· Commercially focussed decision making

· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

· Team working – ability to develop, coach and lead a team

· Collaborative style – liaising with other departments/Managers to ensure customer expectations are achieved.

This role is ideal for a dedicated professional committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance within a dynamic organisation.

Pay: £38,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
