Job Summary
We're looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team, working 2 days a week (Mondays \& Thursdays). You'll support the dentist during procedures, help keep the day running smoothly, and make sure patients feel comfortable and looked after from the moment they arrive. Good communication and staying organised matter here — we're a team that looks out for each other, not just the patients.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized appropriately
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining treatments, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, including treatment notes and appointment schedules
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment
- Manage appointment bookings efficiently, coordinating schedules to optimise practice flow
- Communicate clearly with patients in, offering reassurance and guidance before, during, and after treatments
- Organise clinical supplies and ensure all necessary materials are available for daily procedures
- Proven experience as a qualified dental nurse
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of nursing principles, infection control standards, and dental procedures
- Proficiency in IT systems for record\-keeping and scheduling purposes
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast\-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: £14\.00 per hour
Expected hours: 17\.5 per week
