We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate qualified Dental Nurse to join our supportive team on a part\-time basis (3\.5\-4 days) This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about patient care and keen to develop their career in dental nursing.

The Role
The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, and efficiency within the clinic. This is a varied role combining chairside dental nursing with reception support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort

  • Prepare treatment rooms with the required instruments and materials prior to appointments

  • Provide patients with clear pre\- and post\-treatment instructions

  • Support and reassure patients throughout their visit with clear communication in English

  • Use an intra\-oral scanner

  • Maintain strict infection control protocols, including sterilisation of instruments and adherence to hygiene standards

  • Accurately record patient information using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories

  • Support reception duties, including booking and managing appointments and answering patient enquiries

  • Organise appointment schedules efficiently to optimise clinic operations

  • Manage stock levels of dental supplies and notify relevant personnel when replenishment is required

  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and practice protocols
Requirements
  • Qualified Dental Nurse with valid GDC registration

  • Proven experience in patient care, preferably within a dental or healthcare setting

  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly

  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and appointment management

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

  • Ability to work as part of a team with professionalism, integrity, and compassion
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience with digital dentistry and intra\-oral scanners

  • Ortho experience

  • Private dental experience
