Accountabilities
- Own the testing and validation of new software releases, ensuring features and updates meet quality standards before deployment.
- Perform comprehensive manual testing across applications, APIs, command-line tools, backend services, and user-facing workflows.
- Execute test scenarios in local, staging, and pre-production environments to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
- Create detailed bug reports including reproduction steps, expected outcomes, actual results, logs, screenshots, and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to understand release changes, prioritize testing efforts, verify fixes, and support production readiness.
- Develop and maintain automated testing solutions for recurring validation processes, including end-to-end, smoke, and regression testing.
- Contribute to release checklists, testing documentation, and quality assurance best practices to improve overall software reliability.
- Monitor software behavior across versions and ensure critical workflows remain stable and functional after updates.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, release validation, or a related role.
- Strong expertise in manual testing, including test case creation, defect identification, bug reproduction, and issue documentation.
- Experience testing technical products such as APIs, backend systems, infrastructure components, developer tools, or distributed applications.
- Comfort working with command-line interfaces, logs, scripts, local development environments, and staging environments.
- Familiarity with automated testing methodologies, regression testing, smoke testing, end-to-end testing, and scripting.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and commitment to maintaining high release quality standards.
- Experience with blockchain technologies, financial platforms, distributed systems, databases, cloud environments, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or API testing tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Bash is a plus.
