Python Developer

Main Tasks

• Contribute to software development solutions following industry standards and best practices


• Participate in technical design activities according to functional and platform requirements


• Support software architecture definition and application design in collaboration with architecture teams


• Develop, optimize, and maintain Python\-based applications and solutions


• Provide technical expertise in Python, code optimization, and library/framework recommendations


• Participate in technical meetings to discuss requirements, standards, and solution improvements


• Contribute to development industrialization, including clean code, design patterns, DevOps practices, and testing strategies


• Conduct Scrum ceremonies and support agile rituals within the squad


• Manage sprint activities, facilitate collaboration, and remove blockers for the development team


• Support Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Core Teams in project delivery


• Ensure onboarding and technical support for new team members


• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives


• Promote effective communication and a collaborative team environment

• Strong experience in enterprise software development and software engineering environments


• Advanced expertise in Python (3\.9\+) and its ecosystem, including frameworks and development tools


• Strong knowledge of computational and data manipulation libraries such as NumPy and Pandas


• Experience with performance optimization and parallelization technologies such as Dask, Spark, GPU optimization, Cuda, and Cupy


• Expertise in software industrialization practices including Design Patterns, TDD, clean code, and development standards


• Good understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD environments (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Jira, Artifactory, Hashicorp Vault, Jfrog)


• Knowledge of code quality and security tools such as Fortify, Nexus IQ, and Sonarqube


• Experience working with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Netezza


• Familiarity with file management and cloud storage technologies such as S3, Boto3, IBM COS, and Minio


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements


• Experience in Data Engineering, data quality, data exploration, and data manipulation


• Ability to challenge stakeholders and contribute to technical and functional decision\-making


• Strong communication and teamwork skills within agile environments


• Fluent in English; French is considered a plus


• Availability to travel within and outside Portugal when required
