Purpose

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, products, and services directly supporting production activities, while ensuring continuity of supply and on\-time deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor safety stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to maintain appropriate inventory levels.


• Create new part numbers in PMI for new products.


• Set up new suppliers in PMI.


• Initiate and process purchase orders (POs).


• Maintain and monitor procurement\-related KPIs.


• Follow up with suppliers to ensure strong working relationships, on\-time delivery, agreed pricing, and expected quality standards.


• Manage receipt of samples.


• Resolve invoice\-related issues.


• Process purchase order receipts in PMI.


• Provide administrative support for procurement activities.


• Communicate and follow up on supplier complaints and non\-conformities.

• ESTC (three\-year higher education program) or equivalent experience in a similar role.


• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.


• Technical English proficiency to effectively communicate with suppliers.


• Experience working with ERP systems.


• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.


• Ability to generate reports and maintain accurate records.


• Solution\-oriented with strong organizational skills.


• Team player with effective internal and external communication skills.


• Understanding of negotiation principles and contract terms.
