As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an organised and proactive Purchasing Co\-ordinator to support our supply chain and help ensure materials, products and supplies are available when needed.
THE ROLE
This is an administrative and hands\-on role supporting the purchasing and supply chain function. The Purchasing Co\-ordinator will help ensure materials, components and supplies are ordered, tracked and received efficiently to support the smooth running of the business.
This role would suit someone who is organised, detail\-focused and confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams. Full training is provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Raise and process purchase orders accurately
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times and delivery updates
- Monitor outstanding orders and follow up on delays
- Support stock control by checking stock levels and identifying items that need reordering
- Update purchasing and stock records using relevant computer systems
- Check supplier paperwork, order confirmations and delivery notes for accuracy
- Support goods\-in processes, including checking deliveries against paperwork where required
- Communicate any shortages, delays, price changes or quality issues promptly
- Work closely with production, warehouse and office teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Maintain accurate records and organised purchasing documentation
- Follow company procedures and support quality\-controlled processes
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment where applicable
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to follow processes and keep accurate records
- Proactive and methodical approach to work
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using computers and administrative systems
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, administration or stock control
- Experience using inventory, purchasing or stock management systems
- Experience liaising with suppliers
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or production environment
- Experience working in a quality\-controlled or regulated environment
