As a proud member of the Grouptyre (UK) network, we deliver National Strength, Local Service across the South and Southeast of England. EG Wholesale, our tyre wholesale arm, supplies garages, dealerships, and trade customers across the region.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in purchasing, with real scope to progress as you develop.

The role

The Purchasing Coordinator will support stock purchasing, supplier relationships, and inbound container planning to ensure product availability across the business. You'll work closely with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams to keep stock flowing in a fast\-moving environment.

It's a varied, hands\-on role that rewards strong organisation, attention to detail, and confident communication — with the opportunity to take on more responsibility over time.

Key responsibilities

· Raising and managing purchase orders

· Monitoring stock levels and forecasting demand

· Liaising with suppliers on pricing, availability, and lead times

· Coordinating inbound container schedules and deliveries

· Tracking shipments and ETAs, and resolving delays

· Managing internal stock transfers between depots to maintain availability

· Working with warehouse and transport teams on container planning

· Managing slow\-moving and excess stock

· Maintaining accurate purchasing and stock records

· Supporting pricing and margin analysis

What we're looking for

· Experience in purchasing, procurement, stock control, or buying preferred

· Strong organisational and administrative skills

· Good attention to detail

· Confident communicator with suppliers and internal teams

· Strong Excel and systems skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
