Purchasing Assistant
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team who will be responsible for tracking orders and monitoring deliveries based in our Motherwell Office.
The successful Purchasing Assistant will support the Supply Chain \& Purchasing team through the provision of stock management and coordination duties. The role will be responsible for undertaking a variety of stock control and administration tasks, assisting with the financial administration of the store and any other general administration tasks as allocated by the Purchasing Director.
Main duties:
· Tracking orders and monitoring delivery schedules
· Checking alerts on system
· Monitoring back orders and urgent purchases
· Updating SimPRO / databases
· Maintaining suppler contact list
· Answering supplier emails and phone calls
Experience:
· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail skills
· Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to manage, organise, and control your workload against competing deadlines within a demanding and ever\-changing environment.
· Flexible, team player who can also work independently
· Proven ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
