We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a proactive Purchasing and Planning Support Coordinator to join Kelmore’s Operations and Purchasing team in Chorley.

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Salary: £27,000 \- £31,500, depending on experience.
Full time, 40 hours per week, permanent

About the role

This is a great opportunity to play an important role in supporting purchasing and production planning, helping to keep materials, stock, and schedules on track to meet customer demand.

You’ll work closely with production and purchasing teams, support scheduling, maintain accurate records, and help keep everything moving smoothly when priorities change.

Main duties:

  • Support production planning and purchasing activity to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Maintain accurate stock, purchasing, and production records.

  • Assist with purchase orders, delivery notes, and resolving discrepancies.

  • Work with internal teams to manage shortages, delays, and changing priorities.

  • Use Sage and Excel to support planning, reporting, and day\-to\-day coordination.
Requirements:
  • Experience in purchasing, planning, stock control, or operations support.

  • Strong organisation, accuracy, and great attention to detail.

  • Confident communication skills and a positive, team\-focused approach.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel; Sage experience would be an advantage.

  • A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast\-paced environment.
