Purchaser

Overview
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services essential to our operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic supply chain environment, utilising our ERP system to optimise procurement processes. The ideal applicant will have experience working in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment and will be familiar with associated materials, parts and components.

Duties

• Manage the end\-to\-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services.


• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products in accordance with organisational needs.


• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.


• Working within the ERP system, processing system/manual requisitions through to delivery, to meet with production requirements.


• Analyse supply chain data to identify cost\-saving opportunities and optimise procurement strategies.


• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions


• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations throughout the procurement cycle.


• Accepting and directing incoming phone calls / business enquiries.


• Adhoc ERP data loading as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a supply chain environment.


• Strong familiarity with ERP systems.


• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.


• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.


• Ability to analyse data and utilise it for strategic decision\-making.


• A recognised qualification in supply chain management or related field is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
