The Role
------------

As a Pump \& Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and fault\-finding of a wide range of pump systems and associated equipment.

Working both independently and as part of a close\-knit engineering team, you will provide electrical and mechanical support to customers across various sectors, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Your work will involve:

  • On\-site repair of pumps, pump systems, and control equipment

  • Preventative maintenance and servicing

  • Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis

  • Emergency breakdown and call\-out support

  • Workshop repairs when required

  • Installation and commissioning of new pump systems

  • Troubleshooting and system optimisation

  • Pipework, wiring, control panel, and inverter work

  • Replacement and upgrade of pumps and associated equipment
The role requires strong knowledge of pump systems, electrical controls, wiring, and mechanical engineering principles, enabling you to deliver complete solutions for our customers.

Systems and Equipment You Will Work On

Typical equipment includes:

  • Heating pumps

  • Chiller pumps

  • Booster pumps and booster sets

  • Pressurisation systems

  • Wastewater pumps and systems

  • Sewage and stormwater pumping stations

  • Industrial process pumps
Key Responsibilities
------------------------
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs, and installations in line with company standards

  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement effective solutions

  • Respond to customer call\-outs and breakdowns

  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation where required

  • Participate in engineering meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

  • Support colleagues and work collaboratively to deliver excellent customer service

  • Follow all company procedures, policies, and operating standards

  • Comply with all health and safety requirements and help ensure that "everyone gets home safe"

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role
Working Environment
-----------------------

This is a field\-based role with travel to customer sites across the UK, focusing on the North West, M6 \& M1 corridor.

Typical environments cover critical infrastructure including:

  • Manufacturing facilities

  • Hospitals

  • Educational establishments

  • Prisons

  • Industrial sites
Monthly travel to our Northampton location for collection of kit and training. Although the majority of your time will be spent supporting customers on\-site.

Essential Skills \& Experience


  • Experience working with pumps and pumping systems

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault\-finding ability

  • Knowledge of control panels, inverters, motors, and associated equipment

  • Excellent problem\-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively

  • Good communication and customer\-facing skills

  • A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork

  • Commitment to health and safety best practices

Desirable


  • Experience within industrial or building services environments

  • Previous field service engineering experience

  • Relevant engineering qualifications
Additional Requirements

  • Successful candidates will be required to pass a DBS check due to the environments in which we work.

  • A flexible approach to travel and occasional call\-out work is required.
