About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of engineering projects. Working closely with Project Management and engineers, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and coordination support across multiple projects at various stages of the project lifecycle. No two days will be the same — this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, technical environment and enjoys being at the centre of a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Provide day\-to\-day administrative support to the Project Manager across multiple concurrent projects
- Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date project documentation
- Assist in the preparation and formatting of project plans, reports, tender submissions, and client deliverables
- Manage document control processes, ensuring documents are correctly named, version\-controlled, and distributed in line with company and client requirements
- Raise and track purchase orders, process supplier invoices, and support project cost monitoring
- Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of information across projects
- Monitor project inboxes and manage correspondence on behalf of the project team
- Assist with the management of project closeout activities, including archiving documentation and compiling handover files
- Previous administrative or clerical experience within an engineering environment is advantageous but not essential for motivated candidates willing to learn
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling technical documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident dealing with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels
- Experience with document management systems is desirable
- Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
- Highly organised with a methodical approach to work
- Self\-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- A natural problem\-solver who takes ownership of tasks
- Team\-focused with a collaborative working style
- Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
Pay: £24,420\.00 per year
