About Stellar

Stellar brings together professionals and experts from a range of exciting domains and technologies: telecommunications (cellular 4G/5G terrestrial and non\-terrestrial networks, Wi\-Fi and satellites), mobility (trains, aircraft, drones and road vehicles), and software for efficient data transmission, orchestration, network management, data collection, processing and analysis.

Our products and solutions \- the STEER Software Suite, M2M/IoT solutions and the all\-in\-one GLOBBLE offering \- are transforming how fleets, enterprises and governements experience connectivity by enabling resilient and broadband services.

Stellar products are already deployed in many countries worldwide, across three main verticals: mobility, enterprises, and governments. We are proud our solutions are and will be deployed on commercial planes, drones, firefighter' vehicles and much more. More information is available at https://www.stellar.tc.

Stellar is an ideal workplace for professionals who are eager to learn, challenge conventional approaches, explore practical innovations and take meaningful ownership in a supportive, collaborative, results\-driven, international and professional environment.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, the Project Manager runs Stellar's customer projects end to end, from kick\-off through to deployment.

A typical engagement needs software development, operations, or both in sequence, and the mix shifts as the project progresses. This role owns the plan that holds those pieces together: scope, schedule, and the customer relationship.

The role sits alongside the Director of Software Development and the Director of Operations, all reporting to the CPTO. You are in charge of the delivery, for Stellar. You own what needs to happen and when; how the work gets executed and by whom sits with each team lead. The role therefore depends on teams orchestration and clarity rather than direct authority.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Own the scope, schedule, quality, and delivery of customer projects spanning software development and operations.

  • Break project scope into actionable work, create and prioritize tickets in the shared backlog, and keep priorities visible to both engineering and operations.

  • Anticipate shifts in workload across a project's lifecycle, including the operational ramp\-up that typically comes at deployment, and give teams enough notice to prepare.

  • Track progress against commitments and surface slippage early, while there is still room to act on it.
Customer Relationship
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers on project delivery, including reporting and progress reviews.

  • Translate between customer expectations and internal technical reality, in both directions.

  • Manage scope changes and their impact on schedule and capacity.
Ways of Working
  • Fully understand how the software and ops teams work and act appropriately (engineering practices, agile cadence, etc.).

  • Keep practices under review as the team and the tooling landscape evolve, rather than settling on a fixed process.
Coordination and Escalation
  • Work with the Director of Software Development and the Director of Operations to sequence work across teams and resolve capacity conflicts.

  • Escalate to the CPTO when a priority conflict spans multiple projects or cannot be resolved between teams.

  • Maintain a fast, direct channel with both team leads for urgent requests that cannot wait for the standard triage cycle.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Proven experience managing technical projects end to end, in an environment combining software development and deployment.

  • Track record of coordinating across teams without direct authority over them, and getting commitments to hold.

  • Proven ability to work with distributed, international teams, where some colleagues work fully remotely and others split time between office and home.

  • Comfortable running projects with external customers, including challenging conversations about scope and schedule.

  • Genuine affinity for technology and curiosity about how things work. You should be able to follow a technical discussion, ask the right questions, challenge estimates and understand trade\-offs.

  • Working knowledge of agile delivery and how it interacts with project\-level planning and customer commitments.

  • Hands\-on with Jira or an equivalent backlog and project tracking tool.

  • Strong documentation habits.

  • English professional proficiency expected (French a plus).
Preferred Experience
  • Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an agile equivalent (PSM, CSM). Useful as a signal, though a solid delivery track record matters more to us.

  • Managing projects involving hardware deployment alongside software delivery.

  • Experience in a scale\-up environment where process is still being defined.

  • Working across time zones and cultures on customer\-facing projects.
What We Offer
  • Ownership of Stellar's customer project portfolio, with direct visibility at leadership level.

  • A role with real latitude to shape how projects run, in an organization where the process is still being refined.

  • Tight working relationships with both the engineering and operations sides of the business.

  • Exposure to telecommunications, mobility, embedded and connected systems.

  • Continuous learning in a supportive, expert\-driven engineering team.

  • A collaborative, international and multicultural working environment.

  • A competitive compensation package, including Stellar stock options.
Location and Working Model
  • Based at Stellar's office in Bruges (33\), near Bordeaux, France.

  • Hybrid working model combining office presence and home office. This role leads a team split across locations, so regular presence on site is expected.
