Project Manager

Job Description:

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team at our office located in Birmingham or Manchester, UK.

Position Responsibilities* Demonstrates sound business sense, technical knowledge, strong leadership, organizational ability, time management, communication skills, and professional client service technique.

• Leads project from estimate through close\-out documentation.


• Manages delivery of individual projects and holds responsibility for the achievement of cost, schedule, and quality objectives.


• Develops and maintains project budgets, master schedules, and procurement strategy and controls the scope, cost, schedule, cost events, and quality.


• Oversees activities of Project Engineers, Construction Managers, and Site Superintendents on projects.


• Effectively communicates and coordinates between design, construction, compliance, client, and subcontractor personnel.


• Manages client interaction on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.


• Identifies risks to the project and corporation and works with Project Executives and the Director of Operations to mitigate risks.

Qualifications \& Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.


• 10\-15\+ years of experience in Project Delivery or a related discipline.

Context, Environment, \& Safety* This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.

• You may be assigned to the client site for an extended period.


• Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client’s location is possible depending on the assignment.


• Visit construction sights and required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.


• The employee is a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for fieldwork for IPS employees or subcontractors.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
