About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team on a major structural repair project at the Liverpool Slavery Museum. This is the second phase of works, forming part of a long\-term programme of conservation and structural repair works scheduled to continue well into 2027\.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in the day\-to\-day management of site activities, supporting delivery of a complex, high\-profile construction project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day\-to\-day site operations on a large structural repair project
- Administer and manage the project in line with NEC4 contract requirements
- Produce, maintain and manage Early Warning Notices (EWN) and risk registers
- Oversee change control, including valuation and recording of variations
- Liaise closely with the client, design teams, consultants and subcontractors
- Ensure programme compliance and assist in maintaining the project schedule
- Work with planning tools such as Asta Powerproject
- Support commercial and contractual reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reporting, and documentation
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction / structural repair projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (essential)
- Experience managing early warnings, risk reduction processes, and compensation events
- Ability to manage and document variations and change control processes
- Strong client\-facing communication skills with the ability to represent the project professionally
- Competent IT and reporting skills (MS Office essential)
- Experience with Asta Powerproject (preferred)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, site\-based delivery environment
- Heritage construction experience is a strong advantage, particularly on listed buildings or conservation\-led projects
We are seeking someone who is proactive, highly organised, and confident managing both the contractual and delivery aspects of a complex site. This is a hands\-on role on a live structural repair project where attention to detail and strong communication are essential.
Future Opportunity
While this role is initially offered on a 6–9 month basis, there is potential for longer\-term involvement across the wider programme of works, including opportunities beyond the Liverpool project.
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
