Project Manager
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large\-scale Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) rollout programmes across the UK as part of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). This role is responsible for coordinating multi\-site deployments, managing installation schedules, engaging with customers and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Working within an established programme framework, you will play a key role in turning delivery plans into operational success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of assigned RVM rollout projects, ensuring milestones, timelines, and operational objectives are achieved.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering site readiness, logistics, installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Coordinate installation schedules across multiple customer locations and deployment programmes.
- Manage internal teams, contractors, and third\-party partners to ensure efficient project execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project delivery, installation planning, and scheduling.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation actions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, delivery records, and reporting in line with programme governance requirements.
- Track project costs, manage variations, and provide delivery insights to support forecasting and budget control.
- Ensure successful operational handover of completed installations to Service and Operations teams.
- Promote compliance with health, safety, quality, and operational standards throughout all project activities.
- Degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management or similar discipline
- Proven experience delivering large\-scale, multi\-site rollout, deployment, mobilisation, or installation projects.
- Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, APM, PMI or equivalent experience).
- Strong planning and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating cross\-functional teams, contractors, and third\-party suppliers.
- Customer\-facing project delivery experience with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Background within operational, engineering, logistics, field service, or equipment deployment environments.
- Strong reporting, organisational, and problem\-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as required.
