Project Manager Construction Consultancy
A specialist construction consultancy in London is looking for a Project Manager with around three to five years' experience to join its established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to work across higher education, science, data centre, heritage, and private healthcare projects while developing within a highly experienced project management environment.
The Project Manager will both assist senior colleagues on larger commissions and take the lead on suitable projects independently. This Project Manager role would suit a capable Project Manager who wants varied sector exposure, strong technical development, and a clear route towards greater responsibility. The successful Project Manager will join a team that includes three Partners, five Project Directors, several Senior Project Managers, and a wider group of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role The Project Manager will support and lead projects across higher education, science, data centres, heritage, and private healthcare.
The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, contract administration, risk management, project reporting, stakeholder engagement, and contractor liaison.
The Project Manager will chair meetings where appropriate, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor project progress, and ensure commissions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality. On larger projects, they will work closely with Senior Project Managers and Project Directors, while smaller commissions may be led independently.
The Project Manager The successful Project Manager will have:
- Around three to five years' project management experience
- Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
- Experience across higher education, science, data centres, healthcare, heritage, or similar projects
- A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
- MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
- Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
- The confidence to assist on major projects and independently lead smaller commissions
- APC and chartership support
- Professional membership support
- Flexible working, typically 4 days office / 1 day home
- Potential for 3 days office / 2 days home once established
