Project Manager – Roles \& Responsibilities

Cold is a solutions\-led principal contractor delivering high\-quality extension and fit\-out projects across the UK. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering assigned construction and fit\-out projects safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.

Role Overview

You will manage the full lifecycle of allocated projects, coordinating subcontractors, site activities and project stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery in line with agreed programme, scope and commercial objectives.

Location \& Package:

  • Location: Trowell, Nottingham \+ Hybrid Working (Travel required)

  • Salary: £45\-50,000 per annum, DOE plus company car
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver assigned projects from inception through to completion

  • Develop and maintain project programmes, plans and delivery schedules

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality standards

  • Act as the main operational point of contact for clients and subcontractors

  • Provide regular project updates and manage day\-to\-day communication

  • Coordinate site activities, subcontractors and suppliers

  • Manage project budgets, variations and cost tracking

  • Support risk identification and issue resolution

  • Ensure compliance with health \& safety, CDM regulations and internal standards

  • Carry out site inspections, quality checks and progress monitoring

  • Support commercial reporting including variations and forecasting

  • Work collaboratively with design, commercial and operational teams
Skills \& Experience
  • Experience in construction or fit\-out project delivery

  • Strong organisational and planning skills

  • Good understanding of programme, cost and quality management

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Commercial awareness and problem\-solving ability

  • Experience working under principal contractor arrangements
