Job Summary
We are a chemical manufacturer in the brewing industry seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the production team on a day to basis, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and optimising workflow efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food grade/chemical manufacturing processes and leadership to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure the production targets are met on a weekly basis and to deputise for the Head of Production.
- To be 'hands on' and spend time in the production areas working with the team.
- To ensure all training procedures are up to date, relevant, trained out and good records kept.
- To ensure that the correct levels of stock are produced on schedule and when required.
- To be proactive in driving changes to help increase efficiencies in staff and equipment
- Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Organise work schedules, assign tasks, and oversee the training of new team members.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate production records to ensure that quality and traceability standards are met
- Enforce health and safety regulations across the production area.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to facilitate repairs and minimise downtime.
- Support the delivery of BRC and hygiene standards
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a chemical manufacturing or food grade environment.
- Experience with BRC audits.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, motivate staff, and foster a positive working environment.
- Good communication skills and experience of working closely with other teams
Pay: £33,000\.00\-£38,000\.00 per year
