Project Manager – Retail / Electrical

Location: London – based at Selfridges
Contract: Fixed Term – 6 months, with review after 3 months and a view of a permenant contract
Start Date: Mid\-October 2026
Working Hours: 8 hours per day
Day Rate: £400 per day
Experience: Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience \- Shopfitting experience is a must

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage projects based at Selfridges, London.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ project management experience, ideally within a retail, fit\-out, construction or luxury retail environment. A strong electrical bias is imperative, with the ability to understand, coordinate and manage electrical works and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a hands\-on role requiring a confident manager who can work effectively on site, coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning through to completion.


• Lead and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.


• Manage day\-to\-day project activity at Selfridges.


• Coordinate electrical works and ensure all electrical requirements are properly managed.


• Review and interpret CAD drawings and DWG files.


• Coordinate drawings, specifications, programmes and technical information.


• Monitor project progress, programme and deadlines.


• Identify and resolve project issues proactively.


• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.


• Ensure works are delivered to the required quality and specification.


• Support the management of budgets, costs and variations.


• Ensure all site activities comply with relevant health \& safety requirements.


• Provide clear project updates and maintain accurate project documentation.

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant Project Management experience.


• Strong electrical project experience / electrical bias – imperative.


• Previous experience working within retail environments, ideally high\-end or luxury retail.


• Experience managing projects in a live, high\-profile retail environment.


• Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to read, understand and work with CAD / DWG drawings.


• Excellent organisational and communication skills.


• Strong leadership and management capability.


• Confident working independently and taking ownership of projects.


• Strong computer literacy and ability to use project documentation and CAD systems effectively.

• Experience working within department stores, luxury retail or high\-end commercial environments.


• Previous experience working at Selfridges or within similar live retail environments.


• Electrical qualifications or a strong technical electrical background.


• Experience with retail fit\-outs, refurbishments or installations.
