Project Engineer

Location: Leeds City Location, Monday to Friday office 8 hours a day worked

The Project Engineer supports the successful delivery of infrastructure, groundworks, and tunnelling projects through technical coordination, Program management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
------------------------

+ Coordinate engineering activities between site teams, designers, subcontractors, and clients.
+ Monitor project progress against Program, cost, and quality objectives.
+ Support NEC4 contract administration, early warning processes, Program reviews, and change management activities.
+ Support procurement activities and subcontractor management.
+ Review and manage technical queries, RFIs, and construction documentation.
+ Comply with CDM 2015 regulations, company HSEQ procedures, and promote a positive safety culture across all activities.
+ Assist with risk management, temporary works coordination, and permits.
+ Prepare progress reports, look\-ahead plans, and engineering trackers.Technical Requirements

+ Understanding of NEC4 contracts and UK infrastructure delivery models.
+ Knowledge of tunnelling, deep excavation, or heavy civils construction methodologies.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and common engineering document systems.
+ Understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection test plans.
+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction sequencing.Experience \& Qualifications

+ Degree\-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
+ 3–7 years of infrastructure or heavy civil engineering experience.
+ SMSTS or SSSTS certification advantageous.
+ Working towards Chartered Engineer status preferred.
