We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing key customer projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all deliverables are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to coordinate project activities, manage timelines, monitor progress, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role Will Include
- Managing multiple customer projects simultaneously from launch to completion.
- Developing and maintaining detailed project timing plans in line with company objectives.
- Coordinating cross\-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
- Monitoring project budgets and ensuring targets are met.
- Preparing and presenting project status reports to management and stakeholders.
- Identifying project risks and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Supporting customer quotation activities using company costing systems.
- Ensuring all customer purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices are correctly logged.
- Leading communication with customers regarding project progress and key milestones.
- Supporting APQP activities and ensuring project requirements are met.
- Participating in daily production meetings and communicating project updates.
- Working closely with suppliers and external vendors when required.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lead cross\-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Program Management role.
- Knowledge of APQP processes is highly desirable.
- Automotive industry experience is preferred.
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
