Salary: Offered on a starting salary of £37,502 with the potential to increase to £41,669 over the course of three years.

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first and to deliver against our strategic objectives.

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support Project and Programme Managers in the efficient delivery execution of projects/programmes by coordinating project activities, tracking progress, maintaining documentation and managing project stakeholders. The role can also include managing small change projects to support the wider change portfolio.

Every day you will …

• Support in the development, maintenance, and tracking of project and workstream plans to ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives, timelines, and governance requirements.


• Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, maintaining effective working relationships and ensuring stakeholder needs, concerns, and communications are appropriately managed.


• Assist with project risk, issue, dependency, and change management processes, identifying potential impacts and supporting the implementation of mitigating actions.


• Produce and maintain project documentation, reports, presentations, budgets, resource plans, and governance artifacts to support effective project control and decision\-making.


• Support project assurance and governance activities, ensuring compliance with organisational project management frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements.


• Contribute to benefits realisation activities through baseline assessments, performance tracking, and post\-implementation reviews to measure project outcomes and value delivered.


• Lead and manage small\-scale projects or work packages independently, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, managing risks and stakeholders, and delivering agreed outputs within time, cost, and quality constraints.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?

• Experience of supporting the delivery of projects within a structured project management environment, including planning, reporting, governance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.


• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate project documentation, and track actions, dependencies, budgets, and resource requirements.


• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of building productive working relationships and producing clear project reports, presentations, and status updates for a range of audiences.


• Knowledge of project management methodologies and controls (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or equivalent), including experience of project governance, change control, risk, issue, and benefits management processes.


• Analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present information to support decision\-making and identify appropriate mitigating actions.


• Experience of leading small projects, work packages, or project activities, demonstrating the ability to coordinate resources, manage stakeholders, monitor progress, and deliver outcomes within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.


• (Desirable) Holder of, or working to, relevant project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation, APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), or equivalent).


• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other project portfolio management tools.
