Job Type: Full\-time, permanent
Salary: £35,880 per annum, which rises to £39,396 per annum, after successful completion of probationary period (salary is inclusive of night shift premium)
Schedule:
- 12 hour shifts, working both days and nights
- 46 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to lead our operations team, working 12 hour shifts rotating between a week of days and a week of nights, with hours split across Monday to Thursday, meaning no weekend work is required. However, there are regular overtime opportunities, if desired. The Production Team Leader, reporting to the Production Operations Manager, would be responsible for the operations team, from health \& safety and development of individuals \& the team through to the output and quality of production. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual from a production background looking to gain experience in a leadership role, or someone with leadership experience looking to gain experience in production to join a well\-established company that is growing year on year. This role has lots of day\-to\-day variety to it, leading a team of around 20, working closely as part of a team as well as using initiative when working alone.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working in accordance with the company's health and safety and manufacturing practice
- Leading a team of experienced quality controllers and operatives
- Producing and processing production documentation and recording data
- Conducting routine quality checks to ensure high standards of product
- Quick and effective communication with the team, other departments and managers from across the business
- Maintaining high standards in line with our quality accreditation
- Working alongside the Production Operation Manager to drive improvements
- Complete written and verbal handovers at start and end of shift
- Take a full active part in all aspects of training
- Ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise workload
- Previous experience as a team leader and/or managing people would be advantageous
