Medical Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Medical Driver to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting patients, medical supplies, medical teams, and equipment safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and a compassionate approach. Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including cars and vans, for patient transport and delivery of medical supplies


• Ensure punctuality, adhering to scheduled appointments


• Assist with loading and unloading heavy medical equipment or supplies, demonstrating physical strength and proper lifting techniques


• Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, and vehicle maintenance checks


• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly


• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and address any concerns


• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others

Skills

• Proven experience as a driver, preferably with commercial driving or delivery background


• Full valid manual driver’s licence held for at least 12 months


• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling medical equipment or supplies


• Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations


• Basic vehicle maintenance skills to conduct routine checks and minor repairs when necessary


• Organised with excellent time management skills to ensure punctuality and efficiency in daily tasks
