The role
As a hands\-on Production Supervisor, you'll lead a small, dedicated team and take ownership of the day\-to\-day running of our production floor. You'll make sure orders are manufactured on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards, while championing health \& safety and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be central to motivating the team and helping us grow.
Key responsibilities
- Create, maintain and own the daily production schedule, assigning tasks to the team with clear instructions and information
- Monitor production to ensure customer orders are completed on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards
- Allocate resources — materials and staff — to keep production flowing smoothly
- Assist with the collation and communication of customer orders
- Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure stock availability and timely delivery of materials
- Maintain high quality standards, ensuring goods are thoroughly checked before release
- Track performance metrics and KPIs, report on production data, and put action plans in place to address any deviations
- Review processes and explore cost\-reducing and quality\-enhancing strategies to drive continuous improvement
- Lead, motivate, train and instruct the team, ensuring the right people and skills are in place
- Conduct performance reviews and appraisals, set targets and identify development needs
- Take appropriate action where company rules, procedures or performance standards aren't met
- Support recruitment and team development as needed
- Ensure compliance with internal audits, investigating and resolving any non\-conformance
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues
- Work as part of a team where management and employees pull together for the good of the business
- Hands\-on experience in a manufacturing environment (Point of Sale experience is a strong plus)
- Proven leadership experience managing a small team and planning resources
- The ability to motivate and guide team members of varying experience levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
- IT literate, with proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- A flexible approach — you may occasionally be called on outside normal hours to support the site if problems arise
- The ability to set out a clear vision and goals, lead visibly, and relish the challenge of a growing, demanding environment

This role is 8am\-5pm (40 hours) per week, 5 days a week.
