Production Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee production within a specific department within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high\-quality standards, and able to work well under pressure, in a fast paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a small but dynamic team.

Salary based on experience, but starting at £30,000 per annum

Duties

• Manage daily production activities to meet organisational targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.


• Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.


• Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards and customer expectations.


• Lead process improvement initiatives by analysing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and applying best practices in assembly and manufacturing processes.


• Supervise and support team members


• Flexible and willing to stay until the job is complete, supporting all areas of the department including shipping

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential


• Previous experience in production management or supervisory roles, is preferable


• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings, assembly procedures, and equipment maintenance.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


• Strong leadership qualities with experience in team development and motivation.
