Job Summary

The Production Manager oversees the company’s production on behalf of the Operations Manager. They are the department leads Line Manager and oversees the safe practices on the factory floor, ensuring they are in accordance with company policy.

They will oversee the Quality Control of all production and be the vital link from the Operations Manager and Project Managers to the production team.

They are to monitor people’s values and standards, and ensure they are in line with company policy; act appropriately where breaches are found.

This role is pivotal to the company’s success of manufacturing the products and being ready for delivery and installation.

Duties

· Managing the production Section Leaders.

· Ensure the Operations Manager’s direction is followed by all.

· Problem solving within production.

· Maintain discipline within the factory.

· Daily management of production personnel.

· Oversees the goods in/out.

· Manages the relationship between local suppliers and JDD Furniture.

· Conduct and monitor vigorous QC checks.

· Link between the factory to the Project Managers.

· Link between the Installations Manager and production.

· Ensuring that team members are performing well and fulfilling job role.

· Communicating any employee concerns to Operations Manager or Human Resources.

· Ensuring the factory floor is a safe workplace.

· Ensuring that manufacturing deadlines are met.

· Checking any FSC qualifying materials are to required standard and reporting any FSC related concerns to Chain of Custody Manager.

· Ensure that all machinery is safe for use.

· Work with engineers to rectify any machinery issues.

· Ensuring that team members are working safely with the support of the Operations Manager and Health and Safety Manager:

· Employees using the appropriate PPE.

Pay: £17\.39\-£18\.89 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40\.0 per week
