We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Medical Receptionist/Care Navigator Cover Person to join our healthcare team. Hours
Expected to do a minimum of 10 hours per week, must be flexible between the hours of 8am\-6:30pm Monday\-Friday and able to provide short notice cover.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check\-in procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing inquiries to appropriate staff or scheduling appointments as needed.
- Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations with precision and professionalism.
- Maintain organised patient records, update electronic health records, and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care navigation, including follow\-up appointments and referrals.
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence to support clinic operations.
- Provide clear guidance to patients regarding clinic procedures, policies, and available resources to enhance their experience.
- Previous office experience or administrative experience in a healthcare or similar setting is highly preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast\-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—friendly, clear, and professional in all interactions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in using office software such as electronic health record systems (EMIS Web and Docman10X), Microsoft Office Suite, or similar tools.
- A positive attitude combined with energy and motivation to support both patients and team members effectively.
Pay: £12\.71 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10\.0 per week
