Production Engineer

Job Overview

We're looking for a proactive and hands\-on Multi\-Skilled Production Engineer to join our Engineering team at Hazel Park. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault\-finding, problem\-solving and keeping a fast\-paced production operation running at its best.

Working across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, you'll play a key role in maintaining our production equipment, responding to breakdowns, delivering planned preventative maintenance and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the site.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across production equipment and machinery


• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults


• Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment to safe working order


• Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency


• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions


• Installing and commissioning new equipment


• Working closely with production teams to improve equipment performance and safety


• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation


• Supporting a culture of safety, quality and operational excellence

• Previous experience in a multi\-skilled engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment


• Strong fault\-finding skills across both mechanical and electrical systems


• Experience working with production equipment, control systems and PLCs


• A proactive approach to problem\-solving and continuous improvement


• A recognised engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Food manufacturing or FMCG experience


• Experience with pneumatics, conveyors, packaging machinery or automated equipment


• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques

Working Hours

This is a site\-based engineering role supporting our production operation. Flexibility is required, including shift working and occasional support during weekends and bank holidays as operationally required.
