Production Assistant/Relief Driver
We are looking for a Production Assistant/Relief Driver for our growing company. The position is full time and permanent, working approximatley 40 hours from Sunday to Thursdays. The role starts at 7am when working in production and at 6am/7am if providing relief driving cover. You may need your own transport to start at 6am. If you are providing relief driving cover, then you will be paid for any additional hours you work. Extra hours maybe available if required.
The production role of this position involves fast paced packing, picking, producing food products and operating labelling machinery. There will also be the loading of our vehicles and the unloading of supplies into the warehouse. There will be manual lifting involved in this position.
The driving role of the job involves delivering and replenishing our food products to our customers on a set route, there is basic paperwork filling, stock rotation and daily vehicle checks. There is manual lifting involved with this position.
The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills who can forge good working relationships with co\-workers and with our customers, a people person essentially. You will have excellent timekeeping and the ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment.
Experience in customer service, a production environment and delivery driving are an advantage.
Progression from this role would be to a full time van sales delivery driver for the right candidate, this would be paid on a different pay grade.
A drivers uniform and 4 weeks training is provided.
