Care Worker

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high\-quality support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care to clients, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Support with medication administration following prescribed instructions


• Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements


• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary


• Provide specialised care for clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments


• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a caring environment


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition


• Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation


• Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management techniques


• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is highly desirable


• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice care, and general senior care best practices


• Relevant skills such as first aid certification and medication administration training


• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks when required


• Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards clients of all ages, including childcare when applicable


• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; a commitment to providing consistent and reliable care


• A genuine interest in caregiving roles with a focus on patient well\-being and safety
