Product Development Administrator

Location: Paramount House, Gelderd Road, Birstall, Batley, WF17 9QD
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full\-time, Permanent, Office\-based

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a highly organised and ambitious Product Development Administrator to join our expanding Product Development team.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone in the early stages of their career who is looking to build a long\-term future in:

You'll play an integral role in supporting the development and launch of exciting new products across our portfolio of brands and licensed ranges. Working closely with factories, suppliers and internal teams, you'll help bring products from concept to market while gaining invaluable commercial experience along the way.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development Support

  • Maintain and update product development critical paths.

  • Monitor project milestones and proactively follow up on outstanding actions.

  • Support the coordination of new product development projects from concept through to launch.

  • Prepare and distribute project updates to internal stakeholders and senior management.
Product Information \& Documentation
  • Complete and maintain New Line Forms (NLFs) for customers and internal systems.

  • Create and update product specification sheets using information provided by factories and suppliers.

  • Ensure all product data is accurate, complete and stored correctly.

  • Maintain product databases, trackers and launch schedules.
Sample Management
  • Coordinate the receipt, preparation and distribution of product samples.

  • Organise samples for customer meetings, presentations and trade events.

  • Maintain sample libraries, ensuring products are clearly labelled and tracked.
Supplier \& Factory Communication
  • Liaise with overseas factories and suppliers to obtain specifications, certifications, images and supporting documentation.

  • Follow up on development samples, approvals and production timelines.

  • Assist in gathering information required for product launches and customer submissions.
Quality \& Compliance
  • Review quality control and inspection reports.

  • Escalate potential quality concerns to the Product Developer.

  • Support the collection and maintenance of compliance documentation, testing reports and certifications.
Internal Communication
  • Provide regular project updates to Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations and senior management teams.

  • Prepare reports and presentations where required.

  • Support launch meetings and project review sessions.
About You

Essential Skills \& Experience

  • Graduate calibre or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and documentation.
Desirable Skills \& Experience
  • Degree in Business, Product Design, Marketing, Buying, Supply Chain or a related discipline.

  • Experience within Product Development, Buying, Retail, Manufacturing or FMCG.

  • Experience working with suppliers and overseas factories.

  • Understanding of product compliance and quality assurance processes.
What Success Looks Like
  • Critical paths are accurate and consistently up to date.

  • Product specifications and New Line Forms are completed accurately and on time.

  • Samples are organised and available when needed.

  • Product launches stay on track and stakeholders remain fully informed.

  • Quality and compliance documentation is maintained to a high standard.
