Procurement Manager
We are recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a major London public-sector organisation on an interim basis. This role focuses on delivering end-to-end sourcing activity across a complex, regulated environment, ensuring compliant, efficient, and commercially sound procurement outcomes.

Contract Length: Initially to June 2026 (with extension expected to September 2026)
Location: Southwark, London (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite, remaining days WFH)
Daily Rate: £388.10 PAYE / £529.95 Umbrella
Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview
As a Procurement Manager, you will support end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities across multiple projects. You will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, manage procurement pipelines, and ensure all activity aligns with governance processes and public-sector procurement regulations.
This is a fast-paced role requiring someone who can quickly integrate into a complex environment and deliver from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities, from demand planning through to contract award
- Engage with stakeholders to define procurement requirements and support delivery
- Ensure compliance with governance processes, procurement policies, and regulations
- Lead procurement projects, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Support negotiations and ensure robust contractual arrangements are in place
- Manage procurement pipelines and identify upcoming sourcing opportunities
- Collaborate across teams to achieve procurement and business objectives
- Experience within large, complex public-sector or regulated environments (e.g. transport or infrastructure) is highly desirable
- Strong end-to-end procurement and sourcing experience
- Proven ability to manage procurement projects and stakeholder relationships
- Experience working within regulated and structured governance environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience within public-sector procurement environments
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
