Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide practical and commercial legal advice to a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, investors, entrepreneurs, and trustees, both domestically and internationally.
- Manage a substantial and varied workload efficiently and cost-effectively, with appropriate levels of supervision.
- Draft complex legal documents with minimal instruction, using appropriate precedents.
- Apply a commercial approach to research, ensuring relevance and accuracy in the delivery of advice.
- Delegate, coordinate, and supervise the work of junior team members as appropriate.
- Actively participate in client marketing opportunities such as seminars, presentations, and pitches.
- Identify client opportunities and follow through appropriately.
- Contribute to the group's knowledge and know-how initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations, including those set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with ideally 5-7 years’ PQE.
- A STEP qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Extensive knowledge of the law and practice related to the administration of estates.
- A thorough understanding of inheritance tax and trusts.
- Experience in a similar role or looking to advance to a more senior role.
- Excellent team working skills, capable of collaborating with and mentoring colleagues of all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage own files and a broad caseload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Organised and authoritative, able to tackle difficult issues proactively.
