Overview
An established and highly regarded professional services firm is seeking a Senior Manager to join its growing Private Client Tax team in London. The firm advises a broad and complex client base, including high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, trusts and international families.

This role offers exposure to a wide range of advisory and compliance matters, including international tax, trust and estate planning, residency and domicile issues, and owner-managed business taxation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership while managing a high-quality portfolio and supporting the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services


• Provide technical advice across areas including trusts and estates, international tax, residence and domicile, CGT and IHT planning


• Support senior leadership with complex advisory projects and business development initiatives


• Attend client meetings and contribute to proposals, networking and thought leadership activity


• Review Self-Assessment Tax Returns, computations and related correspondence prepared by junior team members


• Manage WIP, billing and commercial recoverability across your portfolio


• Handle client queries and build strong long-term relationships


• Support and mentor trainees and junior staff, contributing to their development and technical progression


• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards and risk management processes

Candidate Profile

• ACA / CTA / CA qualified or equivalent


• Strong private client tax experience across both compliance and advisory work


• Up-to-date technical expertise across a broad range of personal tax matters


• Experience managing a portfolio of high net worth clients profitably


• Strong communication and report-writing skills with the ability to explain complex matters clearly


• Experience supporting junior staff development and mentoring


• Commercially aware with strong client relationship management skills
