An established and highly regarded professional services firm is seeking an Associate Director to join its Private Client Tax team in Cambridgeshire. The role involves working closely with senior leadership to deliver complex technical advice to high net worth individuals and families, while supporting business development, mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical advice and planning across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters
- Support clients and colleagues on complex private client advisory projects
- Maintain strong technical expertise and share knowledge across the wider team
- Assist in driving business development initiatives and supporting proposals for new work
- Support senior leadership in implementing departmental strategy and team development
- Attend client meetings, networking events and contribute to technical presentations and publications
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide mentoring and technical guidance
- Monitor billing, recoverability and work in progress to ensure commercial targets are achieved
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, risk management and quality standards
- CTA qualified (essential)
- STEP, ACA or ACCA qualifications would be advantageous
- Significant experience within private client tax advisory and planning
- Strong technical expertise across personal tax matters
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior colleagues
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify and support business development opportunities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Committed to continuous professional development and technical excellence
