Teaching Assistant (Primary School) – Strood
Start Date: 1st September
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Location: Strood, Kent
Pay: Competitive (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Strood. This is a full-time role starting in September, supporting pupils across the school, with a particular focus on assisting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, particularly for pupils with SEN
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Help create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCO
- Have previous experience working in a primary school setting
- Have SEN experience (highly desirable)
- Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be proactive and committed to supporting children’s development
