Moorefield Medical Centre is a progressive 3\-GP practice serving a mixed GMS and private patient population of patients. As part of our continued expansion, we are developing structured Women’s Health and Occupational Health services within the practice.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated dual qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN)/ Midwife to join our team and lead the development of nurse\-led clinics in women’s health and occupational health.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident nurse who wishes to work at the top of their scope in a supportive, modern primary care setting.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will deliver a combination of:

Women’s Health Clinics

  • Cervical screening (smear taking)

  • Contraceptive consultations

  • Coil and implant fitting (or willingness to train)

  • Menopause assessment and follow\-up clinics

  • 6\-week postnatal and baby checks (in collaboration with GP)

  • Preventative women’s health reviews
Occupational Health Services
  • Pre\-employment medicals

  • Health surveillance (spirometry, audiometry)

  • Workplace vaccination programmes

  • Structured occupational assessments (with GP oversight)
General Practice Nursing
  • Chronic Disease Management clinics

  • Cardiovascular risk screening

  • Health promotion and lifestyle clinics

  • Vaccinations and travel health

  • Cannulation and venesection (training supported if required)
Essential Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN)

  • Registered Midwife

  • Minimum 3 years post\-registration experience

  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

  • Experience in primary care, community or acute setting

  • Ability to work independently within agreed scope of practice

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable (Training Supported)
  • Cervical smear qualification

  • LARC (coil/implant) training

  • Women’s health or menopause training

  • Occupational health experience

  • Spirometry certification
