The Role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our clinical team on a fixed\-term maternity cover contract. The position is for 3 full days per week with occasional, additional cover for annual leave or other requirements.

The successful candidate will work alongside our multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of nursing care and health promotion to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse seeking a rewarding role within a supportive and forward\-thinking practice.

Experience using the SystmOne clinical system would be preferred.

Main Duties

The role will include, but is not limited to:

• Cytology screening


• Childhood and adult immunisations


• Wound care and dressings


• Health promotion and lifestyle advice


• Infection prevention and control activities


• Assist our other practice nurses in maintaining clean and well stocked clinical rooms


• Collaborate effectively with the practice team to ensure seamless patient care delivery


• Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records

We are seeking a registered nurse who:

• Holds current NMC registration


• Has experience working within a GP practice or primary care setting


• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team


• Demonstrates a caring, professional and patient\-centred approach
